People who own a four wheeler know very well what automatic transmission cars are. They know its value, and how comfortable those beauties are. But for those who do not, automatic transmission (also called automatic cars) is a kind of motor vehicle transmission which has features of n-speed automatic (n stands for some forwarding gear ratios), self-shift and much more. The transmission allows the driver to not worry about gear-shifting anymore as it can automatically change the ratios of gear. It permits an internal combustion engine at a speed of high rotational which can provide a couple of things needed for vehicular travel i.e. torque outputs & range of speed.

Let’s not bore you with the inside stuff and tell you something you are here for. There is a myriad of people in India who wouldn’t want to do the gear-shifting manually but instead they have a tendency to get an automatic car so here are some of the best automatic cars in India:

Mk5 Polo has some unique features which cannot be found in the previous generations like seven-speed version DSG gearbox along with touch screen satellite navigation. It sure succeeds in replace the previous version as it is 7.5% lighter than the previous one. If not the best, one of the Best Automatic Cars In India for those who have limited budget.

    Volkswagon Polo

Price: Volkswagen Mk5 Polo GT TSI ranges from ₹ 5.38 to 9.09 Lakhs and should be available easily.

    Toyota Corolla Altis E170

Corolla is one of the prominent names in the four-wheeler market as it has been given a tag of the best car a couple of times. From the first generation, which was introduced in 1964, to the eleventh generation, Toyota Corolla has never disappointed. The hatchback version of Altis called E170 was released under the eleventh generation in 2013 and has been in a good number of sales ever since. A vague two years back, the Special Edition came out which was based on the S model and had a couple of various exterior colours. The edition was named as the 50th Anniversary Special Edition on account of the Golden Jubilee. A year later, Toyota went on to release the Facelift version of the same. Despite it’s expensive prize, some keen people may rate it one of Best Automatic Cars In India.

    Toyota Corolla Altis

Price: Altis E170 should be available between ₹ 17.45 – 21.37 Lakh which might sound costly but can be worth the price.

    Hyundai Grand i10

When Grand i10 came into the market, it exceeded the expectations and marked all the boxes such as features, drivability and space. But that didn’t stop them there as they were keen on surprising the customers with pleasure when they introduced an automatic transmission. Automatic upgrade of Grand i10 comes with a 4-speed automatic gearbox which is quite good. The design and its ability to go smooth amidst the traffic can be something to look for.
For Hyundai lover, this is far most the best automatic car in India with a not so high price for the thing they get it return.

    Hyundai Grand i10

Price: Hyundai Grand i10 only costs ₹ 5.92 to 6 lakhs which can be a good deal considering the features we are getting.

    Nissan Micra

While others are competing, why should Nissan stand behind? Nissan Micra upgraded their version to the one of the automatic gearbox which is powered with a 3-cylinder petrol engine and 75 bhp. There are various features in the automatic version such as anti-lock braking system, keyless entry and start, fold-functioned internally adjustable electric ORVMs, front seat height adjustment, Bluetooth, etc.
Despite its weird look and not so huge success for Nissan in India, it has all the potential to be in the “best automatic cars in India list”.

    Nissan Micra

Price: Even with so many features, Nissan Micra costs just about ₹ 6.39 lakhs making it a good deal.

    Skoda Rapid Spaceback

German-based Skoda Rapid Spaceback was out in September 2013. Despite having less number of sales, it goes into the list due to its durability and features. In spite of the sporty rear, the luggage capacity of Skoda Rapid is between 415 and 1381 litres. Spaceback has a lockable fuel cap which is inclusive in central locking system which means that you would not need to unlock the fuel cap with the keys. The ice scraper can only be removed after the car has been unlocked, to protect from theft. One of the noticeable features of Spaceback is optional false boot floor which has a hidden storage space of about 135mm.

    Skoda Rapid Spaceback

Price: The Spaceback version of Skoda Rapid costs ₹ 9.37 – 15 Lakhs which can be a bit expensive. Price can be overlooked when you are looking for Skoda, right? Of course, it makes into the first row in the list of Best automatic cars in India.

    Tata Zest

Tata Motors had to get back in the top 3 car manufacturers in India and releasing Tata Zest did the trick for them. Being the first diesel car to receive automatic gearbox, Tata Zest also includes an F-Tronic AMT. Through the help of AMT, the driver does not need to do much as it will shift all the time automatically. Hydraulic electro valves control the three hydraulic actuators via which the gearbox works like a driver. It can open and close clutch, engage and disengage the gears and much more. However, with all the features mentioned above, Tata Zest does not include ABS and airbags so there might be a concern for safety here.

    Tata Zest

Price: Tata Zest is available in the range of ₹ 7.3 and 8 lakhs.

    Summing Up

All of the above cars mentioned are some of the best automatic cars in India right now, and all of them have their pros and cons. Some may excel in everything but would be costly while some may be too cheap but not safer. Our work was to show you the roads; now it’s you who decides the suitable path.
